How MR Flight handles information in the simulator, on this website and when you contact us.

Information on your device
MR Flight stores settings, saved flights and local diagnostic information on your iPhone. Flight recordings describe the simulated aircraft and flight. They are not recordings of your real-world location or microphone.
The simulator does not require a user account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics. It does not automatically upload your saved flights to MERaC Oy. Single Player flying and saved-flight review work offline after installation.
Local multiplayer uses your local network to find nearby flights and connect directly to another player's device. Your chosen player name and room name can be visible to nearby devices. Connected players exchange names, flight conditions and simulated aircraft state and controls. This information is not sent to a MERaC Oy multiplayer server. Local troubleshooting logs may store discovered room names, host names and local network addresses on your device. The simulator does not automatically upload these logs to us.
You choose whether to export or share a recording. The recipients you select receive a separate copy. You can remove saved flights in the app; removing the app removes its local data, subject to Apple's backup and restore features. Delete exported copies wherever you have saved or shared them.
Support, bug reports and suggestions
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and investigate problems.
The bug form stores your short report and its submission time. It does not ask for an email address. Wishlist suggestions store your message, submission time and a random browser identifier. Votes connect that identifier to the feature you voted for.
Your original bug report and suggestion remain private. We may write a separate, general feature idea for public voting, without publishing your original message or personal details. Published feature ideas and vote totals are visible to other visitors.
The Wishlist stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage to recognise previous votes and limit repeated submissions. It is not a login and is not used by MR Flight to track you across other websites. Clearing website data removes that identifier from the browser but does not itself delete an earlier server-side submission.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering support requests, fixing problems, planning the simulator and protecting the feedback service against misuse (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Sending feedback is optional. We do not use it for advertising, automated profiling or decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Website and service providers
Our website uses Lovable hosting and a Supabase-based database for feedback and votes. Our email service provider processes support correspondence. Access to private feedback is limited to the people and service providers who need it to operate and support MR Flight.
Loading the website and sending a request exposes technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page and request time to the hosting and database services. These services may process logs and error information to deliver and secure the website. This is separate from the simulator's locally stored flight recordings.
Service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Their published data-processing terms describe applicable transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required. You can contact us for information about the providers and safeguards applicable to your data.
Provider information: Lovable privacy, Lovable data-processing terms and Supabase privacy.
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information if required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
How long information is kept
- Support email: up to two years after the last correspondence about the request.
- Bug reports and feature suggestions: up to five years after submission, to investigate recurring issues and follow development requests across versions.
- Wishlist votes: while the feature remains open for voting, up to five years after the vote.
- Browser identifier: until you clear the website's local storage. This does not extend the retention of server-side feedback or votes.
- Device-only data: until you remove it or the app, subject to device backup settings.
These are maximum periods, not a reason to keep unnecessary personal information. We delete or anonymise information earlier when it is no longer needed. General bug fixes and feature ideas that no longer identify a person may remain in our development history.
Technical logs and backup copies follow the relevant service provider's retention and backup schedules. If information must be retained to meet a legal obligation or resolve a specific legal claim, we restrict its use to that purpose.
Payments and future content
MR Flight is a one-time paid app purchase, with Cessna 152 and Vesivehmaa included. Apple handles the App Store purchase; MERaC Oy does not receive your payment card details through the simulator. There is no subscription, trial or in-app purchase in this release. Optional paid maps and aircraft are planned for future updates. We will update this policy to explain their actual data handling before they are introduced.
Your choices and rights
Contact markus@mrflight.app to request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to request restriction of processing. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies where its legal conditions are met.
Include enough information to identify the message or request, such as its approximate date and subject. We may ask for information needed to verify your request. We do not collect extra identification just to connect an otherwise anonymous bug report to you.
You may complain to your local data-protection authority. In Finland, this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when the simulator or website's data handling changes. The date above identifies the current version.
